Sophie, back from her violin lesson, decides to light some candles. She takes off her vest and throws off her shoes and lies down to read a bit. The Headmaster comes to grill her on the rules of GBS. She has had two weeks to learn the 10 rules but still doesn't know them. Now Headmaster is giving her only two minutes to learn them before he returns.
When he returns and questions her she is ok until rule number 3. He brings in a cane to see if it will refresh her memory but she still struggles. Then, for every rule she forgets she gets that many strokes of the cane. By rule number 6 the welts on her plump bottom are enormous.
After the punishment, the Headmaster gives Sophie ten more minutes to learn her rules. Or else.
